Dreams and hopes for the Galil: the establishment of a new medical school

Bar Ilan University has just opened the first new medical school in Israel for 40 years. We have introduced new learning methods stressing humanism in medicine and active involvement in the diverse local communities around us in Galilee. This deprived, peripheral area is in need of new blood and new ideas in order to combat its endemic health disparities.
