'Wagner and Israel' revisited: the case for and against

In the Wagner bicentenary year there have been numerous articles and public debates about the vexed question of the decision in Israel to avoid live performance of Wagner's music. I present the context to the debate and, inviting floor discussion, suggest a path through the moral maze.
