Cosmopolitanism and antisemitism

Cosmopolitanism is an emancipatory project within the social sciences. It treats Jews as fellow human beings and draws practical consequences from this sense of common humanity. Cosmopolitanism is also capable of generating its own prejudices: that Jews are anti-cosmopolitan and have regard exclusively for their own kind. What's going on when the 'rootless cosmopolitan Jew' meets the 'rooted anti-cosmopolitan Jew'?
