Becoming a global Jewish citizen: what does it mean? What does it look like? How can I become one?

What does it mean to be a global Jewish citizen? Are we responsible for taking action on global Jewish and humanitarian issues? How can you make a difference? This session will address questions around global Jewish citizenship through the lens of young activists involved with the world's largest Jewish humanitarian aid organisation, the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) Entwine.

Hannah is currently Tzedek's education officer, working to educate the UK Jewish community in social justice and Jewish responsibility. Hannah is also a 2013/14 René Cassin human rights fellow, co-chair of the Limmud 2013 YAD Team and a resident of Moishe House London.

Lena Kushnir

Moishe House
Lena has worked since 2008 for a number of Jewish organisations in Ukraine as a manager for educational and social programmes. In 2010, she founded the first Moishe House in Ukraine. Currently she is serving in Jerusalem as a fellow in the Entwine Global Jewish Service Corps.
