Israel-Diaspora relations today: are we still dependent on one another?

For years Israel as a young nation and the Diaspora were dependent on each other. Israel was seeking material support, while Jewish communities considered it their protector. Is this type of relationship still relevant today? How can we characterize modern Israeli-Diaspora current relations? Dov Lipman, rabbi and member of the Knesset's Diaspora Affairs Committee, will examine these questions.

Dov Lipman moved to Israel from the USA in 2004. He holds rabbinic ordination and a Master's in Education. He rose to prominence for his role in challenging and combating religious extremists in Bet Shemesh and was elected to the Knesset on the Yesh Atid party.
